Students in third grade learned the hustle and bustle of business. They were introduced to concepts of supply and demand, goods and services, and much more. The amazing part was that they worked in groups to develop a class product. You might have seen “The Amazing Bookmark 3000”, “Amazing Notebook”, or “Great Green Glue”. Some classes had interesting items like “Super Stress Balls”, “One of Kind Design Picture Frame”, and “Mireles Made Folders”. Kids were creative and came up with fantastic products that any student could use, want, and begged to have! Once their products were created they were able to get a sense of what it would be like to be a business salesperson and learned a lot about competition, price, and demand. The students had blast learning. Many know now that business isn’t an easy task. It takes hard work, but they’ll tell you the profit can make all the hard work worth the while.
