Elizabeth Gutierrez, Vice Principal

I am so excited to be joining the Los Reyes ES family for the 2014-2015 school year!!!  I feel honored and privileged to be a part of such an amazing community of teachers, staff, parents and students.  I will be working closely with Mrs. Gorsche in order to assure that every child at Los Reyes ES receives nothing less than the best education in a safe and engaging learning environment.

I am originally from Brownsville, Texas and moved to San Antonio to attend college and have made it my home ever since.  I graduated from UTSA in 2001 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science.  Soon after, I began my teaching career in NISD as a bilingual teacher at Westwood Terrace ES and after a few years experienced middle school as a math teacher at both Rawlinson and Hector Garcia MS.  In 2009, I received my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from OLLU.  I quickly jumped into my second Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from UTSA which has brought me to the world of administration.  I most recently am coming from the administrative team of Anson Jones MS and am looking forward to catching up with all that I have been missing in the wonderful world of elementary.

I have two lovely children who are also a part of this community.  My son will be a freshman at O’Connor and is a part of their football team and my daughter will be starting 5th grade at Aue ES.  I am a sports mom so I’m sure I will be running into several of y’all during community events.

I truly believe education is a team effort and I am honored to be partnering with you in the education of your child.  Please feel free to stop by and introduce yourself, I look forward to a great year at Los Reyes ES!
