Greetings! My name is Leticia C. Ramirez and I have been named the new principal at Langley Elementary. I am very excited about being appointed to such a successful and family-friendly campus that at one time I called home.
I opened Langley Elementary in August of 2009 as the special education campus coordinator and special education teacher. At the end of the year I was promoted to Galm Elementary as the Vice Principal and have been there the last 4 years. I am excited to be back at Langley. Prior to Langley I worked at Cable, Fisher, and Esparza Elementary schools. My educational background consists of a Bachelor's and Master's degree from Our Lady of the Lake University and a Master's in Education Administration from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas.
I am married and have two children. I enjoy nice long walks with my husband, reading good books and the challenge of Candy Crush.
My passion is to be on the forefront of your child's journey to success. I believe it is my job to support all stakeholders and to ensure all students have the chance to grow and be lifelong learners.
My name is Rachel Delgado and I am the Vice Principal of Langley Elementary. I am excited to start another great school year. I have been teaching for a total of 9 years. I taught fifth grade for one year in Indiana. I moved to Texas in 2002 and have taught in Northside for the past eight years. I taught third grade for four years and fourth grade for three years at Cable Elementary. I taught here at Langley for a year and a half before becoming your Vice Principal. Go Lobos!
I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis in 2001. In May 2009 I received my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership at the University of Texas at San Antonio.
I have been married for two years. My husband and I have a daughter.
I love the education profession because I enjoy helping students become independent workers and thinkers. I am excited about working with the students, teachers, and parents at Langley Elementary.
