Students learn depth and complexity with The Lorax

December 20, 2012

In Irasemy Ollervides’ fourth grade classroom, students are learning new levels of depth and complexity using pictures to stand for thinking strategies.

Students learn to approach subjects from the point of view of an expert, and in doing so, they understand concepts in a deeper and more complex way.

Students analyze how a character changes throughout the story, while others describe how the author helps us imagine what the characters are like.
