ALPHA students salute freedom through creative millinery

December 4, 2013

ALPHA students across the District are connected thanks to careful curriculum planning by their Gifted and Talented teachers who work together with their cluster schools to develop exciting enrichment activities to enhance the Law and Justice unit.

Students created and decorated themed hats to symbolize national landmarks and symbols that represent American Freedom, and presented their research and findings to their peers.

Pictured are students from Michael ES with their creations, (from l-r) Sierralynn Astran, Roxana Franco, and Daniel Nuno.

Zakaria Hammoudeh and Brandon Alonso from Raba ES show off their Golden Gate Bridge chapeau.
