Habitat for Humanity

Holmgreen students have gotten experience in the world of food and giving back by serving a delicious lunch of King Ranch Chicken, salad and desserts to Volunteers at Habitat for Humanity on November 8, 2013.

The students absolutely loved it and were very appreciated by the Volunteers by the many compliments given over the wonderful meal and cookies.
Afterwards the students got to go Fuddruckers for hamburgers and fun for all the hard work put in to giving back.

These students also were given the opportunity to tour the San Antonio Food Bank.  They were apart of a school wide Food Drive two weeks prior then able to see where and how that food is processed and where it goes.
It was quite a eye opener and many expressed a desire to volunteer as a class. This will be explored further after the Christmas Break.
