The NISD Grants & Recognitions Department supports District initiatives by connecting staff who are seeking funding with the appropriate sources, assisting in developing and writing competitive grant applications, and facilitating constructive partnerships.
Our staff continuously updates its database of external grant opportunities which can be found on the Grants & Recognitions Intranet site. In addition, the Grants & Recognitions Department facilitates internal grant opportunities that are available only to Northside ISD employees.

Northside Education Foundation competitive grants are awarded to fund innovative projects or programs. Northside Education Foundation Grants help to enhance Northside students' academic experience, support innovative teaching ideas, and expand upon existing educational programs. Currently, there are three types of NEF grants available. Resource Grants fund up to $750, Innovation Grants can award up to $5,000, and TEAM grants award projects up to $12,500. The Northside Independent School Districtís (NISD) Gifted/Talented & Enrichment Advisory Council (GTEAC) iGniTe Fund was established to provide NISD Gifted and Talented (GT) teachers with supplemental funding above and beyond the provisions of the regular district budget for resources, supplies, and other items. The iGniTe grants award up to $500 per winning application for unique and innovative educational projects that impact NISDís gifted and talented students and teachers.
