New Stallion Staff Announced

Several additions have been made to the Stallion staff. They include:

Assistant Principal: Mrs. Yvette Lopez, currently a Behavior Specialist with Northside ISD, has been named the Assistant Principal of Folks Middle School. Prior to her current role, Mrs. Lopez was a special education teacher at both Hobby and Rawlinson Middle Schools.

Head Counselor: Mrs. Freida Donzis has accepted the position of Head Counselor. Mrs. Donzis has been a counselor in Northside for 21 years, including 3 years as Head Counselor at Pease Middle School, and was also a math and computer teacher for 6 years at Alamo Heights Junior School.

Head Band Director: Mrs. Carolyn Ireland, currently the Assistant Band Director at Luna Middle School, has been named Head Band Director. Prior to Luna, Mrs. Ireland has served as an Associate Band Director at both East Central High School and Medina Valley Middle School. While her position at Folks does not begin officially until next school year, Mrs. Ireland will begin planning immediately on development of the Folks band program. Students registered for band can expect to hear from Mrs. Ireland soon!

Head Boys Coach: With 8 years as Head Coach at Pat Neff Middle School, Mr. Hank Hennig is well-prepared for this same position at Dr. John Folks Middle School. Coach Hennig will assume his role as Head Coach beginning this summer. Prior to Pat Neff, Hennig also coached at William Hobby Middle School.

English Language Arts & Reading Department Coordinator: Accepting the role of ELAR Department Coordinator will be Ms. Senga Rounds. Currently an English and Reading teacher at Anson Jones Middle School, Ms. Rounds has also served in the role of AVID Coordinator & teacher and was named the Jones Educator of the Year for the 2012-13 school year.
