Please join the staff and students for Folks MS 1st annual Tech Expo on Tuesday, April 29th. Students and teachers will demonstrate how technology is being used in every department and transforming your child's education! The Expo will begin immediately after the public Bond 2014 presentation in the cafteria at 6 pm.
The Folks MS Choir will be participating, along with many other Northside middle schools, in a tribute to Michael Jackson. The perfomance will be Saturday, May 3rd at Paul Taylor Field House. (download flyer)

Your feedback in the beginning of the program helped generate a customized Roadmap to Excellence, which provided specific recommendations for improving our family-school partnership. Club LT, an after school enrichment program especially designed for middle school students is coming to Dr. John Folks Middle School. The program provides academic support and enrichment activities in a safe and fun environment. (more)
The Chili's on Bandera/1604 is participating in a giveback program with Folks MS. Anyone who eats at Chili's February 5th and 6th and brings in the attached flyer, Chili's will donate 10% of the bill to OUR school. How cool is that!
Each year, 8th grade students throughout the state of Texas are required to take a Technology Literacy Assessment. the purpose is to assess students technology skills. The state defines a technology literate student as a student who meets the requirements of the state's Technology Applications Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS).
