Esparza Dress Code

MANDATORY UNIFORMS

 

ALL ESPARZA students are required to wear uniforms and comply with the District /Campus Dress Code.

UNIFORMS:
TOPS: Tops will be navy or white shirts with collars. Shirts may have the school logo, but the logo is NOT required.
Sweathers, sweatshirts, and t-shirts worn during the day must be navy or white.
BOTTOMS: Pants, skirts, or shorts may be plain khaki, navy, or dark blue denim. (no decorations or rips in jeans).
BELTS: Belts are to be worn and fit around the waist. (Belts are optional for PK/K/1st)
Belts are MANDATORY for 2/3/4/5 if clothing has belt loops


 NISD/SCHOOL DRESS CODE:

No oversized clothing or belts (no more than 1 size larger).
Grades 3-5 shorts, skirts, and skorts must be no more than 4 inches above the knee.
Shirttails are to be tucked in.
Understhirts must match unifomrs and be navy or white.
Hair must be clean and neat. Unconventional colored or multi-colored hair is not permitted.
Earrings are not permitted for boys.
Only two earrings per ear will be allowed for girls.
Because of safety issues, hoops can be no larger than 1 inch in diameter and dangles will not be permitted
Necklaces and chains are NOT to be visible; Bracelets are limited to 2 per arm.
Tattoos are not permitted.
Unnecessary accessories (chains, patches, etc.) are not permitted
Scarves, hats, and other head coverings are not permitted.
Jackets and coats are considered outerwear and are not to be worn in side the building.
Shoes should have flat heels; tennis shoes are recommended

Families that cannot afford uniforms for their children may apply for assistance with the Counselor/Social Workers. Guidelines for Free and Reduced Lunch will be used to determine qualifications (Parents need to bring pay stubs with them when they apply). If families qualify for uniforms, students will be loaned 3 uniforms which will be returned to the school at the end of the year or when the students withdraw from the school.
