Students at Rita K. Driggers were given a very high honor this Holiday Season. They were asked to create a Chihuly Glass tree for the Northside Testing Annex building across from their school. Students used recycled water bottles and acrylic paint to make replicas of Mr. Chihuly's blown glass art. He has created art for many places all over the world, including our own San Antonio Library down town and the San Antonio Museum of Art. You can find out more about his glass creations here. 5th grade Art Club students took a short walk across the street and placed the creations on the tree while listening to carols. A great time was had by all!
