Northside ISD is the 4th largest school district in Texas with 88,400 students. The district covers 355 square miles in northwest San Antonio/Bexar County and includes southern areas of Bandera and Medina counties.

There are currently over 100 schools and programs, which includes 13 high schools and 16 middle schools, in Northside ISD. There were 5 new schools opened in 2008 and 7 additional schools are scheduled to be opened in the next 3 years.
