Northside ISD is the 4th largest school district in Texas with 85,546 students. The district covers 355 square miles in northwest San Antonio/Bexar County and includes southern areas of Bandera and Medina counties.

There are currently over 100 schools and programs, which includes 8 comprehensive high schools and 14 middle schools, in Northside ISD. There were 4 new schools opened in 2006 and 8 additional schools are scheduled to be opened in the next 3 years.
