NISD hosted the Texas State Academic Decathlon in 2004.

The Northside Education Foundation reaches the $1 million mark in funds raised since the foundation was established in the 1994-95 school year.

Northside is named one of five finalists in the nation for the 2007 Broad Prize for Urban Education.

Voters approve a $692.67 million bond issue, the largest in District history, to build new schools and make improvements to existing campuses.

Northside surpasses Austin ISD to become the fourth largest school district in Texas.

Northside opens three new schools for the 2007-08 school year:  Aue and Driggers elementary schools, and Jefferson Middle School.

The NISD Board of Trustees gives the go-ahead to build a wireless network, which will make Northside the largest district in Texas to go completely wireless.
