Goal Setting

Colonies North students and staff are involved in setting goals for academics, service and citizenship. From kindergarten to fifth grade, students are learning the steps in goal setting and implementing action plans to achieve those goals. The 10 steps taught in Northside ISD are:

1. Define success.
2. Define the goal.
3. Identify a support system.
4. Develop an action plan.
5. Implement the plan.
6. Monitor and reflect.
7. Re-enter at any step.
8. Evaluate progress.
9. Celebrate success.
10. Decide what to do next.
