Our Beliefs
We Believe That:
- We are responsible for guiding a child to become a life-long learner.
- A child's education begins early within the family, continues within the school environment and community, and extends to society throughout his/her lifetime.
- The school community is responsible for fostering an intrinsic desire for learning through positive and compassionate understandings, influences, and behaviors, so as to assist in the successful development of the total child.
- Everyone should be responsible for the enhancement of the individual child's self-respect by demonstrating mutual respect.
- We, as educators, in our belief in a student's individuality, should respect his/her needs and capabilities.
- Each and every child deserves to be educated appropriately, so as to perform and achieve his/her potential.
- Each child is unique, worthy of respect, and capable of learning to become a responsible, contributing member of society. School should provide the opportunity for the child to learn the academic, as well as the social skills necessary to function successfully in society.
- Since we believe that learning is a life-long process, we must accept and respect the multitude of diverse cultures, with emphasis on the family.
- The school should provide a safe and positive environment that nurtures the whole child-socially and emotionally, as well as educationally.
