Colonies North Historical Information: Built in 1966, Colonies North Elementary School has been through many changes to accommodate our growing community. Colonies North Elementary School, named for the subdivision, opened with twelve teachers, one principal, one secretary, a part-time remedial reading teacher, a part-time speech therapist, a part-time librarian, and approximately 360 students in the first through fifth grades. Previous principals include: J.B Passmore 1966-1969, James Carson 1969-1982, Jerry Allen 1982-1986, Patricia Blattman 1986-1992, Jean Miltenberger 1992-1997, Maricia Gregory 1997-2007, and Sonya Kirkham 2007-2011, and Kris Cotton 2011.
