BCHS Competes in the Jr. Duel of Ol' San Antonio

Under the guidance of teacher Kim Zapper, BCHS students Romina B, Vienna G, Stephanie B, Haley O, and Mario F competed at the San Antonio Federal Reserve Building this past Saturday, March 1st, against 5 other schools for the 6th annual Jr. Duel of Ol' San Antonio.  The students each received a medal, the school received a plaque, and cash prizes were awarded.

The competition consisted of writing a 5-page executive summary of a financial plan and creating a PowerPoint presentation to assist a fictitious family to get out of debt. They then had to present their information to judges at the Federal Reserve Building.

1st place - Southwest High School

2nd place - Clark High School

3rd place - Holmes High School

Finalists - Business Careers High School, Brandeis High School, and Stevens High School.
