Business & Financial Services is responsible for the complex job of managing the District's budget and investments. Business & Financial Services oversees a number of departments including accounting, accounts payable, budget, cash management, finance, child nutrition, payroll, purchasing, and special revenues. In addition to the day-to-day financial operations of one of the largest school districts in Texas, Business & Financial Services produces reports and other documentation, some of which are available on this site.
Northside Independent School District has an annual budget of over $1 billion. This money is used for teacher and employee salaries, services for students, school and facility maintenance, and much more. Additionally, bond funds are used for the construction of new schools and support facilities—as well as the renovation and updating of existing schools—to keep up with the District's rapid growth.
